Before you hire a Realtor to represent you as a Buyers/Agent ask for some references. And make some phone calls to the references. A good Buyers/Agent or Sellers/Agent can save you some serious money.

First you need to know this: Some Realtors are very good "Buyers Agents" and Others are better "Seller Agents." So choose a Realtor for the job you have in mind.

When Buying or Selling Real Estate Hire The Right Agent For The Job At Hand.

Choose Realtor Web Page is all about finding the right person to work with. If you will just take your time when you meet a Realtors, whether by accident or at an open house.

Trust your "Instincts" and pay attention to their body language.

Keep in mind that Realtors are professional sales people, trained in the art of Persuasion.

One other thing to think about is: Realtors Work on Commission and closing the real estate sale becomes their number one goal.

If you do not like and trust a Realtor keep looking. For more information Go To: Realtor Contracts.

Most people get this wrong, because they are told the seller pays the real estate commission... This is true. The seller pays the real estate commission with your money.

Think about it for a minute. Who puts up the down payment? Who signs the Loan Documents?

Choose Realtor site is not about beating-up Realtors. In fact I have been a Realtor for over 35 years.

What we are trying to impress on home buyers, is there may be a better way to do business than the traditional method of having the first Real Estate Agent that comes along sell you a house.

Just so you know. Not all Agents and Brokers are Realtors. There is a Difference... Realtors are members of the "National Association of Realtors." Now that that is out of the way lets move on.

Buying real estate requires some knowledge, some of which you can find on other pages that link from Choose Realtors. The following List will help guide through the Realtor Hiring process.

_____________________________________________

• When interviewing Realtors pretend that you are hiring some one to perform a $300,000 job and you will be paying the bill.

• Always ask about their experience and how many properties have they sold and closed in the last two years.

• When you are interviewing ask if they will represent you as a Buyers/Agent. If Not Keep Looking.

• When buying real estate you always want to have your own Buyers/Agent working for you.

Commit This to Memory... All real estate agents work for the seller unless they are on contract with you to be your Buyers/Agent. Their job is to get the seller the best price and terms... Not You...

_____________________________________________

When you find a Realtor Buyers/Agent you like. Ask if they will refund a portion of their commission if you find a home and all they have to do is write it up? If the answer is NO Keep Interviewing.
